Meet the founders
It was Spring of 2017 and Kaitlyn and Rebekah were rapidly approaching the end of their graduate school program in the warmth of South Carolina. They knew they wanted to do something with theatre (hence two degrees in Theatre Arts!), but they didn't know quite what or how to begin. Kaitlyn wanted to teach art classes, and Rebekah wanted to create her own educational theatre program. As always, life did not proceed according to their plans. But they serve a God who loves teaching His children to trust Him.
After teaching high-school theatre classes for one year, Kaitlyn moved to Chicago to pursue her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Her two-year program was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic, and consequently she never established the creative community she craved. After marrying her husband in December 2021 and once again settling herself in Chicago, she decided to create the spiritual and artistic community her heart so deeply longed for.
Rebekah moved home to New Hampshire and shortly after getting married took the directorate position for a Shakespeare Homeschool Co-op. After a few years, she transferred to teaching in a local public high-school. She quickly realized (through the Covid-19 pandemic and other unrelated events) that this fit was not right for her. She struggled to find her creative identity again and gave up doing everything art related. She felt alone and theatre is primarily an art of community. She decided that she was done with theatre or anything else creative unless God gifted her a community. Shortly after, Kaitlyn and Rebekah reconnected over text and phone calls, and the idea to create a community for displaced Christian artists was born!

Since the idea-seed was first planted in September 2022, Kaitlyn's and Rebekah's excitement for this community and its possibilities has grown deep roots. God truly works in His perfect time and uses the talents and skills He has given individuals to do wonderful works that only He can perform.
We are so excited to be a home for artists perfecting their crafts and becoming the creators the Master Creator has designed them to be!
